Frontline Spot On (Top Spot) offers long-lasting, fast acting flea and tick control. Frontline contains fipronil, a flea adulticide. Fipronil works by affecting the parasite's (the flea's or tick's) nervous system causing paralysis and death of the parasite. Fipronil spreads over the pet's body with the body oils killing 98-100% of the fleas or ticks within 24-48 hours, and controlling transmission of tick-borne disease, such as Lyme disease. Frontline contains fipronil, a broad-spectrum insecticide that disrupts the central nervous system of fleas and ticks. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles and then is released over time (up to 1 month) from the hair follicles onto the skin and hair. Frontline stays on even with bathing, swimming, or exposure to sunlight. Approved for use on puppies 8 weeks of age and older. Key Benefits:

Frontline vs Advantage | Frontline vs Advantix | Revolution vs Frontline Been using this product on my cats since it came out, I lived in Florida for 10 years and there you need to use it all year round. It works just fine without paying extra for items called "plus" or whatever. If it works in Florida for fleas, it will work anywhere. I never bothered with another product since this works. I'll keep buying it as long as I have a cat. I have used Frontline on Stymie since I got him when he was 8 weeks old. He is now 2 1/2 years old. He is an inside baby and he loves to go out and run all over the 5 acres of property. He has never had fleas and have only pulled 2 ticks off of him and they was dead. I will continue to purchase Frontline for my baby. We have been using this product for 8 years and it is totally effective on our 3 dogs. Furthermore, we are satisfied that we are treating our dear little ones as safely as possible. One of our Vet's is super conservative in treatments and originally recommended this product. We don't believe in overmedicating. At one point,in the beginning, our mountain dog who has long hair got a couple ticks. This dog was near the weight level recommended so this Vet suggested going to the next higher strength. That did the trick. My dogs have been on Top Spot for years ---successfully. No fleas or ticks ever. Better yet, my Vet says this product is the safest product on the market which makes me feel good too. I am surprised by some remarks that it is ineffective. I have found it totally effective over the years. I use frontline or advantage (whichever is on sale at the time) and they both work great!! I would never go without them! I have had my cat for almost 7 years and have used one or the other and never had a flea problem. I stopped using it at one point for a couple months and we noticed fleas throughout our house...it is very expensive to get rid of the fleas in your house and it is such a hassle! So now i make sure i always keep somthing on my cat.
